Weapons & Spaceships

In Space Command how space travel started a long time ago in the back story is that NASA Jet Fighter Test Pilots tested the first ships in outer space for long distance space travel.

These first ships were nuclear powered in outer space. The actual ships were built similar to rockets and had multiple openings in the back of the ship as vent shafts.

The ships engine was built similar to a nuclear submarine but was to be used for space travel, the ships were similar to the current space shuttle but were built more like the original test ships in the 1960's but in the back they had multiple openings where the "thrusters" would be at, instead of thrusters they had vent shafts.

The test pilots at the time in NASA would drop Nuclear Warheads out the back of the vent shafts and detonate them at specific and safe intervals and ride the shock wave from the explosion in outer space in a frictionless environment to see how fast they could travel.

These ships carried a multiple Nuclear Warhead payload and they would drop them out the back of the vent shafts one at a time, in pairs out separate vent shafts or in multiple sets of two behind the ship. As the warheads detonated large shock waves were created in outer space at different sizes depending on how many Nuclear Explosions they detonated.

This was their means of propulsion in outer space. The ship carried multiple warhead payloads that were used to travel and get back. The actual speed of the ship came from the force of the shock waves and they would ride the shock wave to see how fast the ship would go and how far it would travel, then they would have to detonate more war heads to get back.

The submarine like Nuclear Powered Engine on the space ship allowed them to have full power for long periods of time and was a separate system from the propulsion shock waves except for small thrusters used to move the space ship at slow speeds.

In Space Command the basis for the spaceship engines and weapons is is nuclear power.

The space ship fires a Nuclear Reaction in the ships reactor to generate a shock wave in outer space that it travels on in the frictionless environment of outer space. This is the same effect as riding the shockwave from the external nuclear explosions only when they stabilized the nuclear reaction they took the explosion inside the ship.

The nuclear reactor then acts as a nuclear combustion engine and generates shock waves in outer space similar to a nuclear weapon detonation in an internal combustion engine. The shock wave is propelled out of the engines from the reactor like nuclear bomb exploding, this is what propels them in outer space.

One explosion in the nuclear reactor engine creates one shock wave or multiple shock wave in outer space that they then travel on safely.

However, this is a stabilized non radioactive Nuclear Powered Engine in Space Command.

The second main function of the spaceships is magnetic field generators.

The stabilized non radioactive nuclear powered engine combined with the ships multiple magnetic field generators account for most of the ships primary functions. The engine itself and the weapons use a non-radio active uranium or plutonium as fuel.

The non radioactive uranium or plutonium is manufactured or processed to be non radio active by scientists adding an additive to the uranium or plutonium that makes it "thick" and then it hardens during production. After this the uranium or plutonium is non radioactive as the additive neutralizes the radioactivity by coating it and sealing it.

This means that you can handle the uranium or plutonium with your bare hands and not become sick although this is not recommended. Gas fumes from the burning or processing the uranium or plutonium are not radioactive although you may get sick from the fumes it is not fatal. You can not eat the stabilized uranium or plutonium as it is poison and will kill you.

The stabilized uranium or plutonium is easily stored on the ship and generally harmless and is used as fuel in the ships reactor to power the ship in a safe nuclear process and also used for powering the ships weapons and tractor / retractor beams.

The tractor / retractor beams are powered by one of the multiple nuclear reactors on the ship as a power source and then it is charged by the ships magnetic field generators giving it a magnetic field.

Important: In Space Command "Particles" are differing small or microscopic substances that are used for multiple ships function similar to "electrons" however their are many different types of particles in Space Command and some are larger than electrons and are given magnetic charges by the ships magnetic field generators.

The tractor / retractor beam (it's uses will be explained later and in the books) is powered by one of the ships safe nuclear reactors, then it is charged with multiple magnetic field generators to give it multiple magnetic overlapping magnetic fields at different frequencies.

"Particles" are are then emitted from the tractor / retractor beam housing, similar to a laser weapon housing, and fired at the targeted object by the tractor / retractor beam, the particles are then charged by the magnetic field generated for the tractor /  retractor beam making them "magnetic".

The magnetically charged particles are fired at the targeted object and when the particles hit the object they stick to the object and magnetize it.  The tractor / retractor beam using the magnetic field generator can then lock on to the magnetic field frequency of the object that has been magnetized and then the frequency of the magnetic field generator is "flipped" creating a reverse magnetic attraction and the object is pushed away or pulled back to the ship, the particle magnatization is only temporary and harmless wearing off shortly after the beam is turned off.

As an example, if a member of Space Command is outside the ship in a space suit and something happens and they "drift off" the tractor / retractor beam can be aimed at the person and then magnetically charged particles are fired at them and when the beam hits them their suit becomes magnetic, the particles are "pushed" in outer space by the magnetic force created by the ships magnetic field generators to the target, when the polarity is flipped it creates a pulling magnetic effect on the magnetically charged particles attached to the space suit which are invisible and pulls the crew member safely back to the ship in the weightless environment on a magnetic pull.

The tractor / retractor beam is extremely strong and is charged with magnetic field generators on the ship and powered by a nuclear reactor on the ship that is non radio active.

In Space Command there are several types of weapons on the ship Laser Weapons, Particle Beam Weapons and "Missiles". Missiles are like regular missiles but they are used in outer space and are super large war heads and are non radioactive. There is no need for radio active missiles in outer space in space command, that is pretty self explanatory - they are just large missiles of varying types and strength.

One of the main weapons on the space ships in Space Command is Particle Weapons, second is Laser Weapons.

The ships have laser cannons and particle cannons.

The difference between the laser cannon and the particle cannon is that the particle cannon contains a projectile and the laser cannon does not.

This is extremely important in Space Command.

The color of the lasers and particle beams red, green, blue or yellow for example represent different types of lasers or particle beams.

The "color" of the laser or particle beam is generated by colored chemicals in the weapon.

For example a red laser is a like a super hot light beam, the light beam is projected out of the ship as a regular laser and powered by a non radioactive nuclear reactor. Chemicals are added to the hot light beam in the laser cannon and when it is fired gives the laser beam a "color", different colors are from different chemicals added to the beam.

The Chemicals are added in the actual laser cannon housing, and when the laser is activated and fired hot chemicals are carried across the laser beam to the target giving the beam it's color.

When the laser beam hits the target it is super heated, the chemicals carried across by the beam also hit the target and coat the surface of it, these chemicals are then super heated by the laser and then "react" and become super hot and then begin melting the target like steel.

So, the lasers in Space Command have two components one it is a super hot light like a regular laser powered by a non radio active nuclear reactor, then second component is a chemical additive to the laser cannon housing.

When the laser is fired the chemicals are carried across the beam and then react with the hot laser creating a super heated chemical melting effect on the target.

This is super important in Space Command, the laser does not "fire a liquid chemical stream" so they are not "spraying" chemicals on the target and then heating them with a laser.

It is a laser first, then the chemicals react with the heat of the laser and carry them across the laser beam and they become super heated, it is more like the chemicals "evaporate" in the laser cannon housing and "stick" to the heat in the beam, then they are carried across the beam stuck to the heat of the laser, giving the laser it's color, red for example.

Once the laser hits the target the chemicals turn super hot from the laser and begin melting the target object. That is a regular laser in Space Command.

The color of the laser is determined by the different chemicals added to the laser housing and are for different purposes. Lasers and Particle Beams can be ships cannons, rifles or hand held weapons "laser guns" or "particle rays". Laser Guns and Particle Rays (or hand held particle beams) are both hand held, Laser Rifles and Particle Ray Rifles (also called particle beam rifles) are also hand held.

Inside the hand held weapons is a small nuclear reactor and charged with a small "stick" of non radio active uranium or plutonium for it's power source and contains a chemical chamber for the chemical additive, the different color beams are from the different color chemicals and are used for different weapons purposes.

The Particle Weapons are similar to the Laser Weapons only they contain a projectile.

The particle cannon on the ship operates the same way as a laser only the beam carries what would be similar to a scatter shot from shot gun blast.

This weapon fires a projectile at the target as a scatter shot and for example is used to blow holes in an enemy ships hull. This would be similar to a shot gun that fires a scatter shot shredding it's target. When a Space Command space ship approaches an enemy ship in combat it can fire the particle cannon, when this happens it is like a laser beam but it is a projectile, the projectile is the scatter shot.

The scatter shot travels to the target and looks similar to a laser beam only there is a "shell" in it, when it hits the target it explodes puncturing the target with the scatter shot.

In the particle cannon, it is also a laser. That means the particle cannon fires a laser and a projectile at the same time as well as a chemical additive to melt the target.

For example, the particle beam cannon on the ship fires a green particle beam at an enemy ship. This contains a laser with green chemicals in it as well as a scatter shot projectile.

This is also important, the scatter shot can be made radio active by the Space Command Crew. A green particle beam in Space Command is radio active.

When the particle beam hits the target if you are on the inside of the enemy ship what would happen is the scatter shot projectile would puncture the hull of the ship and blow small holes in the ship shredding anyone at the target area inside the ship with a "shrapnel like" projectile, then the projectile scatter shot material is made radio active by the green chemical additive and would begin melting your body as it is also heated, after this the radio active chemicals from the particle beam blast would create a radio active cloud inside the enemy ship that would begin floating around the ship burning and melting anyone it it's path.

So the particle beam looks like a laser except it has a scatter shot projectile in it than can be made radio active by the green chemical additive and then when the target is punctured the hot radio active shrapnel melts objects with the chemical additive and then a radio active gas cloud comes off the melting green chemicals to fill the enemy ship.

The purpose of the particle beam is to blow small holes in an enemy ship and then shred anyone inside the area, then to melt the people in the ship with hot radio active shrapnel and create a green radio active gas cloud inside their ship from the melting radio active green chemicals that are activated by the heat from the laser in the particle beam.

The particle beam can also be a non radio active scatter shot and just act as a laser with a projectile and can be a hand held weapon or "Particle Ray" or hand held rile or "Particle Rifle".

In Space Command characters will say things like "get the particle rifles." or "I am going to need the particle ray." depending on their mission.

The Magnetic Field Generators on the ship also provide the ships artificial gravity and force fields are like everything on the ship are non radio active nuclear powered.

The Magnetic Field Generator creates an over lapping field of magnetic forces inside the ship that are extremely strong. This magnetic field is so strong that it pulls any object to the floor in outer space inside the ship similar to gravity on Earth.

This is important in Space Command. The magnetic field generators create "multiple" or "thousands" of unique magnetic fields that are each on a specific frequency and they "overlap" meaning they are all on different frequencies similar to the natural magnetic field conditions in outer space.

This is a main part of Space Command.

This gives the magnetic field inside the ship a "unique key" of thousands of overlapping invisible and harmless magnetic fields inside the ship that are super strong and hold objects to the floor. That means the gravity in Space Command has a unique "magnetic field id" that can be rotated to change the frequency of the artificial gravity magnetic field  similar to the space ships force field frequency key.

This is for security purposes and the artificial gravity is locked with a key that is made up of thousands of overlapping magnetic fields all with a unique frequency. When you list all the unique frequencies together that is the "key" used for the frequency of the artificial gravity magnetic field, this information is secret and locked in the space ships computer.

The space ships force field also uses the magnetic frequency key for it's force fields only the unique magnetic field is put around the space ship and also generated by the ships magnetic field generators.

The space ships force field also can rotate it's frequency key and is also made up of thousands of over lapping magnetic fields around the ship. Meaning, the ships magnetic field generators generate thousands of unique magnetic fields around the outside of the ship that over lap to make the force field.

The force field is made up of thousands of overlapping magnetic fields with a unique frequency key that can be rotated.

This is important in Space Command.

Once the large magnetic field made up of many over lapping frequencies is established around the ship magnetized particles are emitted into the ships magnetic field similar to the ships tractor / retractor beam.

The "particles" are a tiny solid substance that is magnetic and flow around the ship in the magnetic field creating a "sold like" field around the ship that repels objects. The fuel for the particles in the force field would be similar to the ones used for the nuclear reactor but are different and used for the force field, these particles are abundant in Space Command and do not run out as the crew can manufacture them.

To understand the force field it is like a "tractor or retractor beam" established around the entire ship.

These magnetic particles for the force field moving super fast in the ships magnetic field create a "solid wall" of super fast moving particles around the space ship.

Of course this is on a frequency key so if an enemy knew the frequency of the shields, they could match the frequency of their weapons and fire through the force fields.

In that case the force field frequency would have to be rotated to a new key to re-establish the secure force field.

Objects approaching the force field including debris or weapons fire would be "magnetically charged" by the particles being emitted from the force field and then repelled away from the ship similar to the tractor / retractor beam.

This is an instant effect and objects hitting the force field are instantly disabled and repelled away from the ship however they are not impenetrable and can sustain damage or the space ship could be destroyed if facing to many weapons firing on it at once.

If the ship was in an asteroid field the force field would magnetically charge obstacles around it with particles being emitted and the force field would automatically repel them away from the space ship in the weightless environment of outer space, however although the force field is strong it is not strong enough to move or repel large asteroids.

The space ship itself is made of reinforced steel that is almost unbreakable.

This steel is "concentrated steel" and is manufactured on Earth to be extra strong and also has it's own magnetic frequency id. The "concentrated steel" is manufactured by using magnetic field generators during the steel cooling process for the steel plate manufacturing of the ships hull.

When the steel for the ship is manufactured it is cooled while using magnetic field generators to give the steel a "specific" magnetic field id that would be used for the magnetic field generators in outer space.

Basically, when they manufacture the steel for the ship they "stamp" it during the cooling process by running the cooling steel through a magnetic field generator. This gives the steel for the ship a "magnetic field id".

What that means is on the space ship when it is in outer space the hull of the ship has it's own magnetic id stamped in it during the cooling process. When the ships magnetic field generators turn on they can tune them to the ships magnetic field id stamped into the hull and "lock on to it" with the magnetic field generators. This makes the magnetic fields around the ship and for the artificial gravity work better because they are "locked" on to the ships magnetic field stamp in the actual steel.

The magnetic id stamped into the steel of the space ship is not changeable as it was stamped during the steel cooling process and when the steel cooled and became sold the magnetic field id was "frozen" into the sold steel and is permanent.

That allows the ships magnetic field generators to lock on to the hull of the ship by entering it's magnetic field id. This also serves as a "fingerprint" and used to identify the ship. Scanners on Space Command can scan the ships magnetic field id in the ships hull and identify the ship as being from Space Command, this is also used when searching for a lost ship because space ship scanners can scan for the missing ships fingerprint by searching for the unique magnetic field id of the missing ship hull fingerprinted into the steel.

The steel is also reinforced during the cooling process by using magnetic field generators to "pull" the steel together to condense it during the cooling process, this allows them to add extra plates of steel to each mold.

What that means is in Space Command thousands of steel plates are condensed in one steel mold for the Space Ship's hull making it nearly unbreakable concentrated steel. Regular steel plates are melted and then cooled in magnetic field generators, as the steel cools it becomes magnetic. At that point it is "pulled together" or "squeezed" by magnetic forces when it is still liquid and it sticks together and becomes compressed.

Sort of like taking a large ball of clay and compressing it tightly into a small or "concentrated" ball, making it smaller and harder.

In Space Command this is done to steel for the space ships hull by compressing large amounts of regular steel during the cooling process into smaller single plates by using magnetic forces to compress the steel into smaller concentrated steel plates, meaning thousands of regular steel plates are melted and compressed by magnetic field generators into single super strong concentrated plates during the cooling process making the space ships hull nearly unbreakable.

This is important in Space Command - the steel is compressed by magnetic forces during the cooling process using magnetic field generators. The magnetic field generators squeeze the steel into smaller plates "as it cools" and becomes magnetic. The squeezing of the steel plates into contracted steel plates is done during the steel cooling process as it becomes magnetic but is still liquid - this allows it to be squeezed by magnetic forces to concentrate the steel when it is in a liquid state.

That is important to know how this process of steel concentration works in Space Command because it also has other applications described later in this guide to understanding Space Command.
